MODULE 2: BRIDGING LEADERSHIP AND OWNERSHIP

OVERVIEW

In Module 2, learners will understand that a BL leader owns the problem. This is where Bridging Leadership and Ownership will be introduced. There are two parts to this module.

Part 1 will help learners reflect on the role of values and purpose in being a leader. Part 2 will teach learners how to apply systems thinking to understand their persistent health system problems.

LEARNING OUTPUT:

In this module, learners will provide their personal response to their identified current health systems problem or service delivery program. They will use this personal response as their reference in working towards the learning exercises of this training course.

TARGET PARTICIPANTS:

  • Local Chief Executives (Mayors, Governors)
  • Health Managers (Municipal and Provincial Health Officers)
  • Health/Nutrition Officers
  • Health professionals
  • Graduate students
  • Interested individuals

COURSE REQUIREMENTS AND COMPLETION

Each module is designed to facilitate the understanding of learners on their roles in strengthening their preparedness and response mechanisms and coordination in times of healthcare system disruptions during pandemics. In order to maximize their learning experience and receive a certificate towards the end of each module, it is required for learners to:

  1. Dedicate a minimum of 2 hours of study time per module
  2. Answer all required activities and learning assessments in order to
  3. Answer all module evaluation questions
